Spilled the Beans

I was having a hard time deciding whether to tell my family and friends that I was pregnant before I left to Italy or not. The decision didn't take long...I WAS TOO EXCITED! So, I spilled the beans! It is not nearly as much fun to tell family and friends over the phone or on Skype so I didn't wait. I decided to tell my family by putting them through a little game called "Ramble Scramble" that supposedly was on MarthaStewart.com and my best friend Stef played with her family. I made that all up! But my family is always in for random games and fun activities! I got all the grandkids and gave them numbers meaning they were in some sort of order.
First, alphabetical order. Benton, Olivia, Sadie and Sam- they figured it out really fast! I can never stump Cody.
Second, all sorts of things! Height, age, order of grandchild and more. They came up with plenty ideas of what it was!
Third, the order of grandchildren! It didn't take them long to figure this out because the second I held up the 5 I started crying...sobbing is more like it! We all screamed and jumped and cried and laughed and skyped! It was perfect!
And of course, the proud daddy watching in on the whole thing! I woke him up at 3am in Italy to participate! I know I look like a wreck cause I was so emotional but who cares...

Then...telling the TOOLSON'S! This seemed to be a lot trickier then we had hoped! We were trying to find a way to 3-way with Ryan so that he could see and hear but it never worked! Then when Ryan could call they wouldn't be home and it seemed like days before we could tell them the news! We were so excited to tell them! We eventually told them with basically the same idea but through Skype and obviously with pictures instead of people! Ryan was on speaker phone and I showed them the pictures. I don't have pictures of this, sorry! I showed them a picture of Johnny and they were so funny "Oh, cute! Isn't he funny!" Probably wondering why on earth I am holding up a picture of Johnny with a #1 on it. Then I held up a picture of Livy with a #2 and they said the same things! Then I held up this picture of me! They were so excited! It was perfect! I think a little confused at first because the screen was a little blurry but then they understood! It was great! We're so excited to have grandbaby #3 on the Toolson side! Along with Sean and Colbi's #4 not too far behind!
We're excited for you baby!

Heartbeat

Today we got to see and hear the little "grapes" heartbeat! It was so much fun to hear the baby working so hard and see it already growing so fast! Last week the baby was a blueberry and now a grape! I'm talking the big grapes because the baby is 2.2 centimeters now! Yes, I compare the size of our baby to foods. Thanks to babycenter.com! Everything looks healthy and strong which is always great news! I love my doctor here in Treviso! She is so nice, speaks perfect English (even though I NEED to learn Italian) and is very helpful with all of our questions and concerns! Things are going great over here in Treviso! More updates and pictures to come...

Announcement

It looks like we...
will be having one of these!
Of course it will be smaller then this when it's born and we're not sure if it's a boy or girl yet!
But the point is we're going to have a BABY!
Approximate due date: April 27th, 2011
Place of birth: Treviso, Italy
We couldn't be more excited! Ryan already won't let me carry groceries, lift heavy things, lay on my stomach or eat unhealthy foods. I am only two months. Think this is going to be a spoiled baby by daddy?

San Diego

Every summer the Toolsons take an amazing trip to San Diego! We spend a lot of time with extended family at the beach, doing BBQ's, making delicious pizzas, playing games, swimming, laughing and relaxing! I love this vacation and look forward to it every year. This year included something new which was watching the Bachelorette and going to the San Diego Zoo! Also lots of VG's donuts because I am obsessed and have the best mother and sister in law that will drive 30 minutes to get them for me along with tons of taquitos and California Burritos! YUM! It was so fun being able to spend more time with extended family that I only get to see once a year! I am so sad because I was a horrible picture taker on this vacation. The sun decided to come out once the entire trip so I pretty much forgot about pictures. If you want to see great pictures go to Mckell's blog!

Thank you Mike and Cheri for a great vacation! Can't wait for next year!

"I'm goin to Jackson..." Johnny Cash

Back in July my family headed up to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We do this every summer to get away from the heat and we LOVE IT! We do a lot of relaxing, hiking, biking, eating (seems to always be involved everywhere we go), reading-we all read and completed the Hunger Games and Catching Fire, always attend a rodeo, shopping and horseback riding! Pure bliss...the only sad part is that Ryan has never been able to go with us! I head up to Jackson for a few days then go straight to Vegas to watch him in Summer leagues. One of these times he'll be able to enjoy the Campbell "pretend to be outdoorsy" vacation.

Thanks ma and pa for a fun trip! I had to call you ma and pa to sound western. Did it work?

Little Red Riding Hood

This summer we started a new tradition! The Little Red Riding Hood Bike Ride. It was an absolute blast! It's an all women bike ride with all different distances available. My best friend Stef told me about it and let me know that her family was going to sign up so naturally I signed my family up! We did the 58 mile ride and enjoyed the entire thing.

Thanks for being the pit crew dad and Ryan!

To many years ahead girls! Happy Riding!

Surprise!

The day after Ryan signed with Benetton I made him Italian colored pancakes! Look at that cute smile...GO BENETTON!
