San Diego

Every summer the Toolsons take an amazing trip to San Diego! We spend a lot of time with extended family at the beach, doing BBQ's, making delicious pizzas, playing games, swimming, laughing and relaxing! I love this vacation and look forward to it every year. This year included something new which was watching the Bachelorette and going to the San Diego Zoo! Also lots of VG's donuts because I am obsessed and have the best mother and sister in law that will drive 30 minutes to get them for me along with tons of taquitos and California Burritos! YUM! It was so fun being able to spend more time with extended family that I only get to see once a year! I am so sad because I was a horrible picture taker on this vacation. The sun decided to come out once the entire trip so I pretty much forgot about pictures. If you want to see great pictures go to Mckell's blog!

Thank you Mike and Cheri for a great vacation! Can't wait for next year!

"I'm goin to Jackson..." Johnny Cash

Back in July my family headed up to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We do this every summer to get away from the heat and we LOVE IT! We do a lot of relaxing, hiking, biking, eating (seems to always be involved everywhere we go), reading-we all read and completed the Hunger Games and Catching Fire, always attend a rodeo, shopping and horseback riding! Pure bliss...the only sad part is that Ryan has never been able to go with us! I head up to Jackson for a few days then go straight to Vegas to watch him in Summer leagues. One of these times he'll be able to enjoy the Campbell "pretend to be outdoorsy" vacation.

Thanks ma and pa for a fun trip! I had to call you ma and pa to sound western. Did it work?

Little Red Riding Hood

This summer we started a new tradition! The Little Red Riding Hood Bike Ride. It was an absolute blast! It's an all women bike ride with all different distances available. My best friend Stef told me about it and let me know that her family was going to sign up so naturally I signed my family up! We did the 58 mile ride and enjoyed the entire thing.

Thanks for being the pit crew dad and Ryan!

To many years ahead girls! Happy Riding!

Surprise!

The day after Ryan signed with Benetton I made him Italian colored pancakes! Look at that cute smile...GO BENETTON!

Quick Update

We will be living in Treviso, Italy for the next 2 years! Ryan is already there and LOVING it which makes me very excited to join him! His team name is Benetton like the clothing line (United Colors of Benetton.) I can't wait for this new adventure! I'm missing my hubby so I hope the next few weeks go quickly even though I will miss family and friends all over again! Feel free to come visit us...mi casa su casa! Yes, I know that saying is Spanish but I haven't learned Italian yet!

MAUI

Back in May we went on a vacation to Maui with the entire family. It was easily one of my top 5 favorite vacations up to date! You can't really top two weeks of playing, relaxing, snorkeling, eating, swimming, reading, hiking, playing cards, eating again and building a lot of sand castles. Did I mention eating? It was perfect timing for Ryan and me because it was right when we got home from Turkey and so we finally got to see all of my family! It was a much needed vacation and I really appreciate my parents taking us!
Pretty much the only entire family photo from the trip (missing Alycia. Sorry!!)

Incredible food! Eating at Nick's Fish Market
We went on a really fun hike called "The Swinging Bridges." The bridges were swaying and wobbly (spelling?) with planks missing but it made for quite the adventure! Yes, us girls screamed the entire way.
For some reason I thought it would be fun to take a picture of all the different shoe choices for this hike. Then I thought the picture was even more funny because you can see Benton sticking his little toes in the picture up at the top! So cute!
The boys decided to be crazy and go cliff jumping in this water. It was so scary to watch them but of course every time they would start thinking of crazier and crazier ideas we would yell things like "Remember LuLu!!!" to Cody about his baby on the way and I would yell "Do you want a job!!" to Ryan. We were really annoying but at least it kept them from doing anything too insane. We left without injuries!
The best Shaved Ice (or shave ice if you're local?) HUGE with ice cream on the bottom and cream, gummy bears with the best flavors on top!! If you ever go to Maui it is an absolute must to stop by Local Boys!

The Fortress...it took us forever to build but it was worth it when people would stop by and admire our castle building skills!

The boys before they went out to attempt catching a lobster with a stick.
Ryan and Benton have matching swimsuits!
Attempting to paddle board. It was fun but one time is all I need!
Kim and I both get really nervous to snorkel. You should have seen me clenching on to both of them the entire time we were snorkeling.
Thank you mom and dad for such a great trip! We really appreciate you taking us on such a perfect family vacation!

It's been awhile...

So it's been awhile since I have posted! I am back home now but Ryan is still in Turkey. It has been so nice to be back home but I already miss the people back in Izmir. Below is all the women/girls in the Branch then Ryan with all men in the Branch. There are about 6 more people being baptized this weekend! They are the sweetest people and Ryan and I will always remember them. I can't wait to keep in touch with them and hear about the growth of the Branch.
At the last Home game of the season before playoffs!

Since I've been home I haven't been doing too much other then hanging out with my girlfriends! My parents have been out of town so I have had a lot of girl time. It has been so much fun to catch up with my friends and find out what all of them have been up to! It has been so nice being home but I miss Ryan and am already missing the friends I made in Turkey. I am so excited to wait and see what next year has to bring. There will be a lot of new people to meet and other adventures to have!
